Give something meaningful by donating to help save lives

Stroke and related cardiovascular diseases claim a significant number of lives in West Africa, accounting for a growing burden of mortality and disability in the region.

For example, Stroke and related diseases claim more than 56 lives every day in this part of the world — we need your support now more than ever. Current data reveals that about 133 million people cannot afford neurointerventional services in Nigeria, resulting in premature deaths. West Africa Stroke Initiative (WASI) partners with communities, governmental organizations, private companies, and academic institutions to facilitate access to stroke care and build local capacity through specialized training.

Co-founder and CEO, Dr. Okafo, and a team of medical providers, including neurosurgeons, radiologists, neurologists, nurses, and technologists from across the world, will provide financially accessible neurointervention treatments to indigents in West African countries. West African Stroke Initiative is a qualified 501(c)(3) and your donation is tax-deductible.

Give something meaningful by donating to help save lives. Your gift today will go as far to help fund lifesaving neurointerventional treatment, empower people to know and control their risks for stroke with education and prevention information, fund the training of local neurosurgeons, and advocate to ensure everyone has equal access to care.
